Privacy Policy

The WeDeclare AG appreciates your interest in its website. The protection of your privacy is very important to the company. Please read on for detailed information about the handling of your personal data and your corresponding rights.

Type and Scope of Data Processing

Visiting our website does not require you to reveal any personal information. Personal data is collected and stored in particular if you make use of the « contact » us feature or if you wish to use special service offers on this website (e.g. as part of a customer profile). In addition, data may be processed to improve the user-friendliness of this website, to correct errors and, if necessary to carry out internal statistical evaluations. Please take note that the transmitted IP address of your computer or device is collected when you visit our website. The IP address may be considered to be personal information, because under certain circumstances it is possible to find out the identity of the owner of the Internet access used. The IP address is evaluated in the event of attacks on the internet infrastructure or other misuse of the website. There is a legitimate interest in this in the sense of Art. 13 DSG & Art. 6 para. 1 f) DSGVO, to ward off an attack on the Internet infrastructure, to determine the origin of the attack and to initiate criminal and civil proceedings against the person responsible, as well as to effectively prevent further attacks and to operate the Internet presence without disruptions. If it can be ruled out that such an attack has occurred, the IP address will be deleted. This happens after seven days.

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with your express consent, unless there is another legal basis or consent is required. Revocation of consent given is possible at any time, without affecting data processing that has already taken place.

Data processing for handling your enquiries

You have the option to contact us by e-mail or by the forms provided on the website. Only personal data that you voluntarily provide when contacting us will be processed. If you use one of the contact forms, these are:

  • Your name

  • Your e-mail address

  • Your telephone number

  • subject and the content of the transmitted message.

This data is exclusively required for processing and answering an enquiry, i.e. in particular for contacting you. When contacting us via the contact form on the homepage, you are asked to consent to the use of data you have provided to answer your enquiry and to forward it to the relevant contact person. Thus, the processing of your data is based on your explicit consent according to Art. 6 DSG & Art. 6 para. 1a) DSGVO. If the contact serves the fulfilment or preparation of a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6 DSG & Art. 6 para. 1b) DSGVO, unless special categories of personal data are concerned. Your data will be deleted, taking into account any existing legal retention periods, as soon as your enquiry has been completely dealt with.

SSL- or TLS-Encryption

As a security measure, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption, protecting the transmission of confidential content, such as orders our eqnuiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Server-Log-Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL

  • Host name of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 DSG & Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Use of Google Analytics (with anonymisation function)

The website operator has integrated Google Analytics (with anonymisation function) on this website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service. Web analytics is the collection and analysis of data about the behaviour of visitors to websites. In particular, a web analysis service collects data on which website a person came from (so-called referrer), which sub-pages were visited or how often and for how long a sub-page was accessed. Web analyses are mainly used to optimise a website and to carry out a cost-benefit analysis of Internet advertising.

The operator of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

For web analysis by Google Analytics, the responsible party uses the application "_gat. _anonymizeIp". By means of this application, the IP address of the internet connection of the data subject is shortened by Google and anonymised when accessing this website from a member state of the European Union or another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyse the traffic on this website. Google uses the data and information collected in particular to evaluate the use of this website and to provide online reports showing the activities on and to provide other services related to the use of our website.

Google Analytics sets a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. The definition of cookies is explained above. By setting the cookie, Google is enabled to analyse the use of our website. Each time one of the individual pages of this website operated by the data controller is called up and on which a Google Analytics component has been integrated, the internet browser on the data subject's information technology system automatically transmits data to Google through the Google Analytics component for the purposes of online advertising and commission accounting. As part of this technical process, Google obtains knowledge of personal data, such as the IP address of the data subject, which Google uses f.e. to track the origin of visitors and clicks.

Personal information, such as the time of access, the location from which access was made and the frequency with which the data subject visits this website, is stored in this cookie. Each time the data subject visits this website, this personal data, including the IP address of the Internet access used by the data subject, will be transmitted to Google in the United States of America. This personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may share this personal data collected through the technical process with third parties.

The data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by this website at any time by means of an appropriate setting of the Internet browser used, as already described above, and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Google Analytics from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. Furthermore, cookies already used by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via a web browser or other software programmes.

Furthermore, the data subject has the possibility to object to the collection of data generated by Google Analytics and related to a use of this website as well as to the processing of such data by Google and to prevent such processing. For this purpose, the data subject must download and install a browser add-on under the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via a JavaScript that no data and information about visits to Internet pages may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is considered by Google as an objection. If the data subject's information technology system is deleted, formatted or reinstalled at a later date, the data subject must reinstall the browser add-on in order to deactivate Google Analytics.

Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Google can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html. Google Analytics is explained in more detail under the following link: https://www.google.com/analytics/.

Google Fonts

Google Fonts, provided by Google Inc., is utilized on the website. The company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland) holds responsibility for the European area. The integration of Google Fonts enhances text presentation on the site. During a visit to this website, your browser connects to Google servers to fetch the necessary fonts, possibly sharing your IP address with Google in the process.

For detailed information on Google Fonts and Google's privacy guidelines, please refer to: [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Google Tag Manager

The website incorporates the Google Tag Manager, a service from Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). This tag management system allows various website tags, like tracking pixels or analytic tools, to be centrally managed and integrated.

While the Google Tag Manager doesn't collect personal data on its own, it facilitates the addition of other services that might. It's essential to understand that regardless of its application, the Google Tag Manager operates under its own privacy provisions, and WeDeclare AG has no direct influence over these.

More on the Google Tag Manager and Google's privacy policies can be found at: [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Social Media

YouTube

The website integrates plugins from YouTube, operated by Google. The platform is managed by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When accessing a webpage equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established, notifying the YouTube server about which website pages you've navigated.

Being logged into your YouTube account means that YouTube can directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. This association can be avoided by logging out of your YouTube account.

YouTube's incorporation aims for a visually pleasing representation of online content on the website. This action aligns with a legitimate interest as defined by Art. 6 DSG & Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

For a comprehensive understanding of how user data is handled, please refer to YouTube’s privacy statement at: [YouTube’s Privacy Policy](https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy).

LinkedIn

Additionally, the website features the 'share function' from the LinkedIn network. This service is provided by LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Clicking on the LinkedIn 'share button' (plug-in) redirects you, in a separate browser window, to your user account – this assumes you're logged into your LinkedIn account – enabling you to share electronic publications from a website with added comments.

Upon engagement, a direct bridge between your browser and the LinkedIn server is established. Consequently, LinkedIn receives information that you've accessed a website with your IP address. This allows LinkedIn to potentially associate your visit to a specific site with you and your user profile. It should be noted that WeDeclare AG remains unaware of the content of the transmitted (personal) data and its usage by LinkedIn.

More details can be found in the LinkedIn data protection statement at: [LinkedIn's Privacy Policy](https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy).
